Carson Shuey, Host of Late Afternoon with Carson Shuey

Carson is WQIC’s host of Late Afternoon with Carson Shuey.

Carson is a lifelong resident of The Lebanon Valley, having graduated from Northern Lebanon High School in 1997.

Growing up he spent most of his time on the baseball diamond or at the dinner table.

His curveball led him to Alvernia University in Reading, PA. Between games he managed to earn his degree in Mass Communications in 2001.
Carson moved to Washington D.C. in the Fall of 2001 to intern for NBC 4 and The George Michael Sports Machine. While there he had the chance to cover The Washington Capitals and Wizards games. Pretty cool considering this was the year Michael Jordan stepped back on the court. That being said, with his apartment 1/2 mile from the Pentagon in Arlington, VA most of his memories involve the chaos of 9/11.
After Carson’s time in D.C. he returned to PA, eventually getting a chance to try his hand in radio. Carson has been with WQIC ever since, in addition to being On Air 2-7 Weekdays, he gets the chance to go back to his roots and cover sports as a producer for The Hershey Bears and Philadelphia Phillies games aired on WQIC.
